The roles and responsibilities of the CDO are as follows:

• Assisting the Executive Officer of the Beluran District Council in carrying out tasks involving ICT security
• Monitor work involving Information and Communication Technology (ICT) security
• Determining ICT security requirements
• Coordinate and monitor training plans and ICT security awareness programs such as the preparation of the MDBLN ICT Security Policy as well as risk management and auditing.
• Responsible for matters related to MDBLN ICT security
